French Poetry, pt. 9

I had a tough month, so I completely forgot about this post! But happily, today’s French poem is rather short, so here it is!

It’s called ‘L’eau’ what means ‘Water’. It comes from my debut poetry book ‘Once Upon a Time There Were Two Poetry Books…’. In French it’s ‘Il était deux volumes de poésie…’.

‘Water’ at first!

*

Water

I like to spend my time in the bathtub

I like to watch how water is evaporating

I like it when drops are falling slowly

It’s a delicate touch of nature

*

I like to feel your hands

Around my body

It’s as good as a lover

You’re so addictive, water

*

This poem also comes from the ‘Romantic Summer’ cycle. It’s one of the longest cycles… Well, next month I’ll give you the last poem from it!

And now the French Version!

*

L’eau

J’aime me détendre dans le bain

Et observer l’eau s’évaporer

J’aime quand les gouttes tombent

Une douce touche de nature

*

J’aime sentir tes mains invisibles

Autour de mon corps mouillé

Tout aussi bon comme un amant

L’eau, tu es très addictive

*

So, which version do you like more? Well, in a few more days, more French poems will appear on Patreon! Now I can only recommend checking out my store. Also, I think I’ll give you another such a post in two weeks…

Until the next time, then!

Love, A.A.
