The Long Night of Museums 2026

This year I went to four places, and well, this time I chose such quite random museums! I simply thought I hadn’t been there before…

This year’s Long Night of Museums took place on 16th-17th May.

So, the first place was Zachęta, which is the National Art Gallery in Warsaw, Poland. It was rather about modern art, but I must say I really enjoyed that art by Barbara Kasten. Her exhibition was called ‘Post Abstraction’.

Yes, I cut my hair a bit lately…

So, the second place was the Neon Museum. You can find it in the Palace of Culture and Science. And this is the only such a museum in Europe!

The third place was the Museum of Pharmacy. My mom is a nurse, so I really wanted to take her there in the end! But unfortunately, we spent an hour waiting in the queue… But I can say it was absolutely worth it!

Those two first museums are placed in the downtown, while the other two are very close to each other in the Old Town.

The last place was the Cold War Museum. It was only open until midnight, so we didn’t have much time, but it was definitely worth going! And learning more about things you couldn’t hear about anywhere else before…

And that’s it! I came home a bit tired, I watched the ending of Eurovision, and a few days later I found myself wanting even more museums… But unfortunately, I have no idea where else I could go soon, so I’ll just work on my next historical books, you know! Stay tuned.

Love, A.A.
