French Poetry, pt. 14

It’s Monday, buuut I decided to give you a new French poem! So, it’s a September one, but it actually fits these autumn days anyway, so yeah…

It’s ‘September Hopes Undone’, pt. 1 from the ‘September Hopes’ cycle:

*

September Hopes Undone

I – 10th today

*

Summer passed by, and you’re still not here

Just another year… Trying…

Masked time, stopped time… And

September is here… Again…

*

September hopes undone

Three years later…

I still wait… Until I see you again

And I will always wait…

*

Like that…

You…

And…

I…

*

This poem is simply a reflection on Septembers that repeat and simply feel the same… Because some things are meant to repeat or simply to stay here forever…

Ok, and now the French version of this first part:

Espoirs de septembre déçus

I – le dix aujourd’hui

*

L’été est passé, et tu n’es toujours pas là

Une autre année, j’ai essayé…

Temps masqué, temps suspendu

C’est de nouveau septembre…

*

Espoirs de septembre déçus

Trois ans ont passé…

J’attends toujours de te revoir

Et j’attendrai toujours…

*

Comme maintenant…

Tu…

Et…

Moi…

*

The rest of this cycle will be available on my Patreon later this month.

That’s all for now, but I’ll be back with more history and cultural news soon. Now, when I’m writing this post, I definitely feel much better than last week…

In case you feel like reading some book today… I really recommend checking out my store.

Love, A.A.
