Hello! I was a bit busy with my upcoming novel and new phone, but new French poetry just arrived today anyway! This month, it’s a little sneak peek of ‘ The Invasion of Angels’ in French!

Today I have one of my fave poems for you. It’s ‘Angel 2.0’! At first, the English version.

Angel 2.0

You had my blood on your hands

My wings were broken

It was a harmful fall from the heights…

*

But I decided to stand up and go on

I couldn’t fly, but I could walk…

I chose life. I chose happiness

*

Now I will learn to fly again

But I don’t want to do it alone

Half of your soul will always be here

*

Despite you crushing me down

I can’t not forgive you… It’s hard…

But happiness doesn’t exist without you

*

And now the French translation! How do you like it?

L’ange 2.0

Tu avais mon sang sur les mains

Les ailes étaient endommagées

Une chute douloureuse d’une hauteur…

Mais j’ai décidé de me relever et continuer

Je ne pouvais pas voler, mais je pouvais marcher…

J’ai choisi la vie. J’ai choisi le bonheur

*

Maintenant, je vais réapprendre à voler

Mais je ne veux pas faire ça sans toi

Une partie de ton âme sera toujours avec moi

*

Même si tu m’as brisé, je ne peux

M’empêcher de pardonner… Le pardon est un art…

Et le bonheur n’existe pas sans toi
