New month, new French poem! This time we start the new chapter, ‘Tears of a Soul’ which in French sounds like ‘Larmes d’esprit’. Today’s poem is entitled ‘After All’, and in French that’s ‘Malgré tout’.

My debut poetry book ‘Once Upon a Time There Were Two Poetry Books…’ was released 3 years ago, and this French translation has been in works since 4 months! It’s so exciting to see how this new project is growing step by step… And well, my French poetry book will be called ‘Il était deux volumes de poésie…’. Have you noted that yet?!

So, now I think I can show you the English poem at first, and then the translation.

After All

Yesterday I was a ball of happiness

My brain was the one big empty universe

Put me close to your heart, and I will

Fall asleep. It always escapes to you

*

I’ve missed you my whole life

It doesn’t matter that you hurt me

*

You will always be the best

And nobody compares to you

*

Hier j’étais le ballon de la joie

Me cerveau était un grande vide d’espace

Mets moi auprès de ton cœur

Et je m’endorme, ça toujours fuit à toi

Tu m’as manqué ma tout vie

Ce n’est pas importante que tu m’as blessée

Tu toujours seras principal pour moi

Personne jamais était comme toi
