Today, I’d like to summarize this year’s Eurovision!
So, JJ and his Wasted Love is a winner this year. In case you didn’t know! You can watch the performance from the Grand Final below. It was definitely one of the bets for the win.
The second song was New Day Will Rise from Israel. I bet it was surprising for many people but I wasn’t! If we don’t think about politics, but just look at the song which is the only one in three languages written, and at this beautiful performance… Yeah, it makes sense!
The third song was… Espresso Macchiato! I have never seen anybody dancing like this before… But honestly, it was a very fun performance, so I’m not surprised about this 3rd place. Also, I bet we all think about this song when we drink coffee now…
Now let me tell you about some of my favorite moments.
So, the Polish performance gave me goosebumps when I first saw the performance from Justyna Steczkowska. Honestly, nobody sings like she does here! And I must admit I honestly believed that Gaja could’ve been a winner this year… Well, maybe the next time!
Also, regret you didn’t hear her song that was inspired by The Witcher… It was her proposition during last year’s National Selection. In my opinion, that song was even better!
Another song that I loved so much I thought it could be high is Survivor by PARG… And again, I was rather surprised about the final score…
Another song that I literally had stuck in my head is Bara Bada Bastu by KAJ. This fun performance wasn’t actually surprising to end up so high, right?
Another band – Remember Monday – reminds me of Little Mix, I must say. It used to be one of my favorite bands, and this performance made me a bit nostalgic and want to learn more about them, so I can tell you now that they play country-pop music. A bit different music than Little Mix, right? But I still love it!
The last song that I need to mention is Baller by Abor & Tynna. That’s another performance that made me want to learn more about their music! And yes, I had this song stuck in my head as well.
The last thing to say is… This year’s Grand Final was absolutely the best one I have ever seen. It was culturally colorful, and made of many languages I currently learn or already know. And well, in the end, I liked all the songs that I heard, and this never happened before! This year was a special one, honestly. I will remember this contest for a long time.
If you want to see other songs I liked during this year’s Eurovision… Then I can suggest listening to my playlist. You can find it below!
That’s all today. Thank you for reading my blog, and until Monday, guys!
Love, A.A.
