My Weekend Trip To Poznań

I went to Poznań earlier this month for just two days with my mom. I was working hard this summer, and that’s why I couldn’t afford a true holiday this year… But I saw a lot of nice places in these two days anyway!

The train journey from Warsaw to Poznań takes just three hours… That’s why we arrived to the city at 10 AM! And yes, it was Saturday. At first we went to Centrum Szyfrów Enigma what can be translated as Enigma Cipher Center. It’s a place where you can learn more about cryptology and mathematicians who helped to figure out the way the German machine Enigma was encoding messages.

After that we went to Henryk Sienkiewicz Museum. It’s the place where you can see souvenirs left after this writer. He was the first Polish Nobel prize winner! Also, you can see there rooms that give 19th century vibes.

The last place where we went that day was the Archaeology Museum in Górków Palace.

Sunday brought the visit in the baroque church, and then we went to Town Hall. Now there are only basements to see, but it’s really worth to go there because they have never been shown before! And the rest of the building will be open after the renovation in five years…

The perfect way to finish such a weekend trip? Rest in the park!

There are still many places that I’d like to see there one day, so I look forward to next such trips.

So, that’s all today. Expect more post to come soon! Like… Really really soon!

Love, A.A.
