Today I’d like to finish this post about films and series that I gave you on the first days of May… It’s all about movies that I watched since then. And what I’m planning to watch soon!
The Eight Mountains
It’s a beautiful Italian movie about friendship and mountains… I truly recommend it (those views!) and also, it’s a good movie to practice your Italian… You can find it on Max.
Emily
It’s a biographical and a bit fictional story showing the life of the writer Emily Brontë. It helps you to understand what could have inspired her to write Wuthering Heights. It’s obviously just an interpretation, but it’s a very interesting thing, you know! You can find it on Max.
Annette
I have never seen a film like this before… It’s a musical that married theater, but it’s all shown in a way typical for movies… It’s a bit Shakespearean kind of story, and it’s good for fans of Star Wars as well… The title girl-doll Annette is a very thought-provoking figure… You can find it on Max.
Flash
Who likes superheros and comic books…? Well, this film is for you if you haven’t seen it yet. It’s mainly about the idea of multiverse, turning back in time and losing (one of) parents… I found it very moving, and I truly loved it, but it reminded me of Spider-Man: No Way Home a bit too much… Well, you can find it on Max.
Black Adam
Another movie about superheros (or anti-heroes)… It’s so close to history and archaeology this time, and it reminds me of Ancient Egypt, I must say. I truly recommend this film, and I’m a bit sad because I heard there are no plans of Black Adam 2… It’s so good, what a pity, ahh… You can find it on Max.
Dune: Part 2
The last movie I finished watching this morning. It’s a piece of good cinema, you know. And this film made me want to read Dune Chronicles so bad! Well, all I can say about this is that you have to live it to believe it… So, run do Max, and watch it asap because this is a must-see this season.
House of the Dragon
I haven’t seen the first episode of this series yet, but it came out today, so I had to mention! I don’t like brutal scenes, but this story is so epic, so I’m watching it just for the plot… You can watch it with me on Max, don’t be shy…
Since my upcoming book is about dragons, then maybe you’d like me to write you little essays about each episode like I used to about other tittles…? Let me know in comments!
Today that’s all. You can expect the next blog post on Wednesday, and it will be about my podcast.
Love, A.A.
