I’ve just finished watching this movie, but I still read the book, but I decided to write this blog post for you today anyway!

So, Argylle is a story about the writer Elly Conway and her books made of 5 vols. about title character Argylle. She finds out that a lot of what she wrote about is actually real and because of that she found herself in danger…

It’s a very fun film and story, and I truly have never seen something like this before! I love spy films, but this one is also a pastiche… And well, I feel like maybe three scenes were a bit too much and it smelled like something so fake, but I also loved the colorful dance scene… So, despite those few scenes it was a really good movie and I loved it!

When it comes to the book… It’s all about Argylle. About his beginnings as a spy and some of his missions… I haven’t finished reading it yet, but I must admit that I would love to see the movie based on this book only. Because this film was more like the reality when this book exists as a product…

One more thing that I gotta say about the book is the fact that I really like the thread with the bracelet and Amber Chamber… I don’t know if you know but there was such a time when it was believed that this treasure may be hidden in Poland…

And right now I need to say that the writer Elly Conway is a fictional character even though you can buy her book in stores…

Well, I also have done a little research, and I found out that there were plans to make the trilogy out of this and the second movie would be a some kind of prequel. I honestly hoped for it when I saw the ending, and I really hope that plans won’t be canceled… Money is not everything, right? Sometimes you just gotta enjoy art and just making it just for art… And I’m saying this because this movie wasn’t too successful in cinemas… While I really wanted to see it then, but it disappeared too fast!

Now you can watch this film on Apple TV+, and I truly recommend to read the book and watch the movie. Yeah!

Oh and also… You can find there such famous people like the singer Dua Lipa and the actor Henry Cavill… And a very cute kitty… I hope you feel totally convinced to check it out now!
