Taylor Swift – ‘The Tortured Poets Department’

I’ve just finished listening to this amazing new album by Taylor Swift, so it’s time to write a little blog post for you now! Yep!

The Tortured Poets Departments is 11th album by Taylor Swift and it’s made of 16 songs. It’s like Red, but more delicate and more pop than that. It’s more like Midnights, I guess… The Anthology version that came out at 2 AM is made of more acoustic songs that remind me of folklore and evermore. There are 15 songs. And yes, I find here few tracks that sound like sounds of a soul! So, I think that we officially have the third sister…

Now few titles. I think there are four songs that sound like future singles (Fortnight feat. Post Malone included): Florida!!! (feat. Florance + The Machine), I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can), I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.

Songs that made me feel like music was flowing right through my soul are: I Hate It Here, thanK you aIMee, I Look In People’s Windows and The Prophecy.

Now songs from bonus physical albums! The Black Dog is probably the best one of them. So powerful, it got a little bit of rock spirit and vibe hidden in between… Another song is The Albatross. I liked it, but I don’t feel like saying more after just one listen… The next song is The Bolter. Somehow I liked it more, but I don’t feel like saying more either… The last song is The Manuscript. It’s so beautiful and gentle that it just made me smile, you know. And it made me feel like I need more! Because 31 new tracks in not enough after such a last song…

Another song that deserves the separate paragraph is So High School. The sound of it reminds me the oldest albums and this story too, but it’s also simply totally different than other 30 songs… I love it, and I wonder – maybe this is how the next album may sound like…?

So, in general I love this album after just one listen already! Midnights made me feel like “It’s not gonna beat folklore…” and then I got addicted… So, yeah, it’s different this time… But well, I honestly liked all these new songs, and I totally recommend checking it out! I’m a poet, so I’m totally fully buying it already now. Also, it’s my Name Day tomorrow (this release is my early present), and white is my favorite color, so I have no choice, but I must call it my favorite Taylor’s album already now…

You can check out the main first album here:

The second format called The Anthology is here:

Have you see the music video? You can find it below. And believe me, it’s the perfect summary of this but also… It’s just the beginning of the new era!

So, that’s all today. I don’t know what to write about in the next blog post on Monday because I’m still reading the book I’d like to write about… So, it will be about Argylle or about movies I’ve seen lately… We’ll see!

Love, A.A.
