Today post will be about an artist who used to be a part of Little Mix but now presents the debut solo single – Don’t Say Love by Leigh-Anne. You can find out here more about her, listen to the single and check out the music video.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock is a British singer and songwriter who as I’ve already said, used to be 1/4 of Little Mix for the last 12 years. They published so many albums and you can hear her in each song here:
- DNA (2012),
- Salute (2013),
- Get Weird (2015),
- Glory Days (2016),
- LM5 (2018),
- Confetti (2020),
- Between Us (2021).
The genres that this band play is R&B, Pop and Dance. It’s like… You can hear it all mixed on these seven records and I bet the solo album by Leigh-Anne won’t be too far from it what I believe the single proves well. You can listen to the song below to find out:
There is also the music video which in style reminds me of Little Mix beginnings. I mainly mean DNA & Salute music videos that seem to be some kind of visual continuation and this video is also going to have a continuation. But similar vibe is also seen in Sweet Melody where all four girls appeared together for the last time. Also, I believe that frame shown above is referring to the LM history as well (Leigh-Anne + three dancers). And all those videos are so dark in so many ways! When it comes to plants, the orangery and the motive of water – I must mention two more Little Mix music videos – Love (Sweet Love) and Holiday.
You can watch videos I’ve mentioned below. And let me know if you see all these connections like I do!
I must always say that I got an email that came on my mother’s email address where I found out that I can get a real letter from Leigh-Anne… I saw this 10 days after sending but I filled the form with my details and I’m really hoping it’s not too late to get it… I’ve loved Little Mix from the very beginning (Wings single made me a Mixer) so it would so cool to receive it, you know! I must also say that I will support all these solo careers because music is all that matters to me. If I liked the band, I see no reasons not to like solo music as well…
So, today that’s all that I’ve wanted to say. The next post is coming on Thursday and it will be about Riverdale.
Greetings!
A.A.
