Today post will be about the latest show that I’ve been to – The Lumineers. They played in Warsaw on 6th June 2023. Read this post to find out more about the band and the show. You can watch the concert recorded by me and check out the playlist.
The Lumineers is a folk-rock band which I think you may like if you like electric guitars and such albums like folklore by Taylor Swift. Their discography is made of four albums:
- The Lumineers (2012),
- Cleopatra (2016),
- III (2019),
- Brightside (2022).
The show that I’ve seen last week was totally different than anything that I’ve seen in my life before. I’ve spend the whole show (expect the last part) sitting and contemplating the music. Once I was so moved that I just couldn’t move at all! I mean shout or clap…
Well, I loved the shape of the stage, I loved those visuals, those lights dancing in the hala and that mirrorball that was a very clear thing. What I also find interesting is that running across the stage and fast changing seats and instruments… It was a totally different concert in many many ways! And so inspiriting, I must say!
My favorite moment was probably Big Parade because it was a special performance! You need to see it to understand… Too much to discribe… But I also love such songs like Brightside and its Reprise at the end of the show, Ophelia, Ho Hey, Sleep On The Floor, Flowers In Your Hair and many more… Oh and I must recommend watching Submarines. Mainly because of those background visuals shown on the screen. It was a funny way of completing the song and its meaning! And I didn’t notice the mash-up Leader Of The Landslide and You Can’t Always Get What You Want by The Rolling Stones when I was there. I’ve realized it at home watching my videos! And I also didn’t recognize Gale Song out there! And I really don’t know why because I’d listened to all songs before! I mean I always want to feel prepared!
You can watch the whole show below. I’ve recorded the whole thing for you to see and understand what I talk about. I also hope you’d like to see it live now as well! They currently tour in Europe.
And the whole playlist is here:
The video where I talk about this show will be out on 23th June. It’s recorded and waiting for its turn!
Update. You can watch it now here:
The next post is coming tomorrow and it will be about The Show by Niall Horan. It will be close to the review but I want to extend the borders on this form of writing as much as possible! So, will it be a review still then…?
Greetings!
