We know the winner of this year’s Eurovision, so it’s time to write a little blog post about it now!
Bangaranga from Bulgaria won this year! In case you don’t know yet. Dara is actually my age! And guess what? I felt like I was watching Jade x Alysa Liu on stage when she was performing… But when I think of this song… There’s nothing like it! And I’m really happy she won in the end, you know?
But let’s talk about Israel now… A lot of people say they shouldn’t even participate, but when we look at the final score… Well, quite a lot of people voted for them if they ended up on the 2nd place! But when we forget it was Israel… Well, the song – Michelle – is actually pretty good! That guy sang it in three languages. And that diamond on the stage was impressive… So, I think I understand why people voted for them… But! I felt really relieved when I heard that Bangaranga won… I’m just not sure if this one deserved this title!
The third place belongs to Choke Me. Yeah, I must say I really like this song and performance too! In general, I really like such rock songs, so I’m happy it was third.
When it comes to other songs that I recommend to check out… I gotta mention the Polish song Pray in the first place. I’m actually shocked that this time the jury gave us more points than the public?! But why?! Wasn’t this song and performance just amazing?!
But I’ve had a few other songs stuck in my mind too! In general, I think this year’s Eurovision was really good. There were only a few songs I didn’t like, and it made me consider buying that CD, you know… So, my choices for you today are: Ya Ya Ya (a mix of Queen and Harry Styles), For Vi Gar Hjem, and Tanzschein. Listen to these songs a few times, and you’ll have them stuck in your head too, I’m telling you!
At the end, let me give you my playlist with songs I liked this year! There are plenty of them, yeah! Enjoy!
Ok, that’s all for today. Until the next time!
Love, A.A.
P.S. Petition not to vote for countries but songs! Somebody, please, change that! Don’t write down countries but song titles in those tables, so people can vote for songs! In the end, it’s called the Eurovision Song Contest!
