The third day of my trip was about making dreams come true… That’s right – that’s what seeing the Książ Castle in Wałbrzych, Poland meant to me!

This castle is the third-largest castle in Poland, after Malbork and Kraków. This place has medieval roots as well, but since the 16th century, it has been home to the Silesian family of Hochbergs. Architectonically, it’s also very interesting – because it’s the best example of eclecticism – it’s a mash-up of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque. This place is truly beautiful… As much as these pictures!

My new favorite duchess is Daisy Hochberg von Pless, and honestly, her chambers were my favorite part of this little tour around the castle! Or one of those last places… The Maximilian’s Chamber… Just wow!

After that, there were also taraces… Another favorite place of mine! And I had a very nice piece of cake out there… Totally recommended!

After seeing the castle, there are plenty of places you can see too, but I decided to just see two – the stud and the palm house. What more can I say? I love horses, flowers, palm trees and bonzai…
