Romantic Wednesdays With Poetry. Episode 73 (S2E47)

New podcast episode is here! This week it’s about ‘Red Tears’ and the A. Mickiewicz’s inspired poem ‘Gustaw to Świtezianka’. Yes, it’s all the continuation of the cycle ‘Traitorous Romeo’.

At first, feel free to check out the new podcast episode!

You can also find it on my YT channel!

New poetry is here as well! Two language versions, yes.

Red Tears is a visualization of sadness. You find out that you were betrayed, so you see black roses, red tears, and it becomes cold like a grave in here…

The second poem was inspired by Adam Mickiewicz’s drama Dziady. There are a few parts where we can find this title character, Gustaw. And he’s a ghost! At the same time, Świtezianka is a Slavic mermaid (no fish tail) that comes from the same-titled ballad. She once told her lover not to break a promise of being faithful to her. In this poem, we see them meeting, and Gustaw tells her the same thing she used to say. Karma!

Now let me tell you about my poetry book. You can order a signed copy here, but there is also an e-book and the poetry-inspired collection, you know?

So, that’s all today! I’ll be back with one more post before Easter, and then I’ll take a little break.

Love, A.A.
