Films & Series. Spring Collection. Part 1

It’s a long weekend in Poland this week, and that’s why I decided to give you the list of recommended films and series twice! I mean in two parts… And the second part may come out a bit later this month…

All that I will tell you today is about stuff I have seen in March, this Easter, during my Name Day, my father’s Name Day and his birthday (it’s one day – double celebration)… Yes, April was honestly full of it, indeed!

Greyhound

It’s a movie with Tom Hanks. It’s all about a historical event when Greyhound was one of war ships protecting merchant ships. It’s the time of World War II. It’s a really good film, and I truly recommend it. You can find it on Apple TV+.

Killers of the Flower Moon

Another movie that you can find on Apple TV+. Famous names that are connected with this production are: Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. It’s a drama based on the book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann. It’s a very true and fascinating story…

Little Mermaid

Have you seen the new version of Little Mermaid with Halle Bailey? It’s time to watch it then! I loved this movie, and I don’t feel like criticizing it in any way… Colors weren’t striking my eyes at all…! You can find it on Disney+.

Conversations With Friends

It’s looks like the only series here today… Well, it’s based on the book by Sally Rooney, and I like the fact that you can find poetry and writers here, but some lines or scenes made me rather outraged… So, feel free to watch it, and check out what kind of thoughts and feelings will appear in your head and heart… You can find it on HBO MAX (or just MAX if you’re in USA).

Wonka

I was a child when the previous film with Johnny Depp came out… I have seen that movie so many times, so I had to see this new one with Timothée Chalamet too… Both films are based on the same book, but Wonka feels like the prequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory… It’s a musical that is full of magic, it’s so colorful and really fun, so I recommend to watch it no matter if you have children… And you can watch it on HBO MAX.

Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom

I loved the first movie from this movie series, and the beginning of it made me a bit disappointed, because it seemed a little too predictable… But then my opinion changed. The second part of it gets so good that it just made me speechless. If you like water, magic, superheros and fascinating plots, then you will definitely like this story about The Lost Kingdom! You can find it on HBO MAX.

Napoleon

I remember this movie was in cinemas this winter, and I really wanted to see it… And then it appeared on Apple TV+, and I loved seeing it! It’s a spectacular story showing the whole Napoleon’s history and the only thing that I don’t like about it is the brutality that looked way too real and erotic scenes that could’ve been a bit less aggressive… But well, it’s still a great film, and I truly recommend it to all history lovers!

Top Gun: Maverick

The last movie to mention today is the second part of Top Gun. My dad wanted to see this movie so bad that he asked me to buy him the DVD… We finally watched it lately, and it was truly amazing! I have never seen such a movie before… Actors literally had to become pilots for it! And the plot was nothing but fascinating… You really need to see it if you’re an airplane lover…!

Alright. That’s all today. I will write the second part as soon as I watch next 5 movies…

Love, A.A.
