Can a biographical kind of book be inspiring? Well, read this post to find out!
When I was writing my master’s thesis, I started reading two biographies about artists that I was writing about. It is believed that we shouldn’t assume that writers write about their personal life, but sometimes knowing someone’s biography can be helpful in understanding theirs poetry or dramas more…
Well, that was about my master’s thesis that I finished writing almost 2 years ago (2022), and now I need to tell you few words about now. Because I came back to these books lately, and I decided to finish reading them. I remembered I enjoyed reading about those 19th-20th century times and real lives, so I wanted to find out more just for myself. And honestly, I’m happy I did because it can be very inspiring to know another poet who lived over 100 years ago came though the same stuff as me – the modern poet. It’s just so comforting, and it makes me think that not much changed since then…
Do you wonder about those biographies I talk about here? Maria Konopnicka and Stanisław Wyspiański. Feel free to google these names, but I also wrote a blog post about the second person on my blog Great Lady’s Diary, when I was still writing my thesis. It’s a bilingual kind of post, btw. Click here to read it if you haven’t yet.
So, yeah. If there is someone who’s art you absolutely adore, I really recommend to learn more about their biography. It can be very inspiring as well!
That’s all today. Another post is coming tomorrow, and it’s another surprise that I have for you these days…
Love, A.A.
