Donating – it’s a very important matter, you know. We usually donate, but have you ever received the donation? Well, today I’ll discuss every side of donating in general.

January is the month when Poles donate to the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, and the reason changes every year, but it’s usually about health, and honestly, Poles love this tradition for over 30 years now. There is a big final with shows happening in whole country, every person is donating the amount they want, and some give away stuff that goes on auctions. Wars is another reason why people donate. I remember the full corridor in my department at the university… And it was happening in the whole Poland because of Russian invasion of Ukraine. Now some people are donating concerning Gaza…

But have you ever received something because you needed help? I did and my whole family was shocked that people got really golden hearts, and people really do help willingly when it’s needed. We always hear about natural disasters, and people losing homes in fires or floods in news, but we never think that it might happen to us…
