I saw on Tuesday a very interesting exposition about which I’d like to tell you now. If you’re planning to come to Warsaw during this Christmas break, then you know what to do in the free time!
Seeing the whole exposition took me around 2h. The biography of painters, then copies of some of their work, and the VR experience made of Van Gogh’s art. It felt like going through the village, and you could see what the artist saw. It was a magical experience that you absolutely can’t miss. It all took me around 40 min.
The exposition was made of paintings by Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, Alfred Sisley, Paul Cezanne, Camille Pissarro, Edouard Manet, Edgard Degas, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet. These were copies, but you can learn where you can find original works reading descriptions, and there is also an audioguide to listen to on your phone. I mean just scan the code and here you go.
There was also the reconstruction of Van Gogh’s room and the installation of Monet’s garden. I took a selfie there, and you can do it too!

The biggest part was the longest, because it lasted around an hour. It was a journey trough all expressionists’ the most characteristic work. The most of it was about Vincent Van Gogh, but there were many more names. Well, I simply sit and watched it, so it felt a bit like a cinema, but there were more than one screen. I mean you were literally surrounded by screens and sound. Even the floor was moving…
Honestly, I loved this exposition, but the part when you sit and watch seemed too long to me. I mean I simply felt super tired after around 40 min, but maybe I just needed more coffee, you know. But well, you can also lay down on a pillow and simply rest!
So, that’s all today. How did you like it? Are you planning to go there now as well? Let me know!
I can tell you now that I’m planning to create one more post this weekend, about music this time and… The Christmas Sale is coming! Stay tuned!
Love, A.A.
