The book perfect for summer (or when you already miss summer), Swifties & just relax? This is it for sure. This post will be all about The Summer of Broken Rules by K. L. Walther.

The title book came out in 2021 but I heard about it this year. I saw many many ads of it (it’s promoted as “a perfect book for all Swifties”) and when I saw a 50% discount, I decided to buy it too. I was really curious what it means and honestly, it was really worth it. I had to recommend it to my best friend as soon as I finished reading it because it simply reminds me of him. It’s so typical when it comes to Taylor’s music, so I should’ve seen it coming!

But when it comes to all those references… It’s all really cute and you know, I was reading the translation of it, but I believe that all references were easy to find anyway. When you know lyrics well, no language barrier will be a problem. But I feel like… There could’ve been even more of it…

Ok, now let me tell you what this book is about! So, there is story that lasts just a week, it’s all about summer love, just summer, wedding, adventures and innocent playing games in a literal meaning of this phrase. So, if all these things sound cool to you, then you definitely need to check it out.

Also, there is a playlist that inspired this novel. You can scan the QR code (it’s on the cover) and see. I did and I’m really happy about it because, you know what? There are not only Taylor Swift’s songs! Shocking, right?

I took this book with me in a trip to Szczecin, Międzyzdroje & Poznań in August and it was a really good choice, really. But I haven’t finished reading it then! I finished it after a month, so not a long ago. It was still hot like summer, so I totally enjoyed it now as well. I mean… You can wait for the next summer but I’m sure that it could warm you up also in winter!

When it comes to genres, it’s a Young Adult & Romance.
