Only Murders In The Building. Theater & Genre

Today post is the first one about Only Murders In The Building. It will be about first two episodes. Also, it will be some kind of continuation of the previous post about genres but it will be about theater as well.

Let me start with the genre. It’s a detective story, crime and comedy as I’ve mentioned before but there are elements of musical in the second episode (S3), so… It’s so many things as I’ve mentioned in the previous post. The fact that it’s balancing between serious conversation about death and comedy, makes me think that it’s also a grotesque (and I guess it can be also called black humor).

When it comes to the type of comedy… I mean the way actors play and stuff… It’s so good, it’s not a theatrical type of acting at all. In a bad meaning of this word… I mean it’s not fake. But it doesn’t mean that it’s an insult. I personally love theater probably more than acting in front of camera. Yes, I know this feeling. I have such experiences and watching a series like this makes me nostalgic because it’s been almost ten years now…

Taking of theater, it’s the main theme this time because Ben was killed this time – the actor. It makes me think that it’s gonna be probably my favorite season… It’s a mystery that it nothing but all the time surprising just like Riverdale but it’s also not the same…

Oh, and you can find this series on Disney+ if you wanna watch it and discuss along with me.

Today that’s all. Maybe next week will bring a longer post… We’ll see!

Tomorrow one will be about… Live music that you can watch online! I hope you’ll like what I found.

Greetings!
