Today post will be about some complicated situations, party kind of things that young people do and well… It’s just about episodes 5&6 of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
There are few types of complicated situations – twice it’s related to romances but on a little bit different level, and another one is the thread related to the beach house. Well, I’m saying this because I think it’s the main structure that I can see in these two episodes. Twice it’s about love triangles, and once it’s something that have been seen previously this season. But let’s be honest, it’s all a new chapter to old stories. I mean Taylor and Steven, Belly and Conrad & Jeremiah and the sold out house. It was complicated before but it’s gets even more complicated and I wonder… Can it be worse in last two episodes?
Alright now the subject called having fun. Well, I feel like it’s not totally fine to show young people doing drugs and drinking alcohol. When you do, I think it’s important to show consequences that would be thought-provoking. I hope my novel Laura’s Diary – My Awesome Life is like that… True, I have never partied like that, I’ve always been a good child, so I don’t know how it feels, but also, my parents wouldn’t have let me to party like that. How often does it happen that parents let you drink when you’re under 18 or just disappear for such a long time to spend time with friends? I mean this series is probably showing a perfect world that teenagers dream about… But honestly, I was a teenager too and it’s possible to have fun without drugs and alcohol, believe me.
So, that’s all that I needed to say today and it’s time to announce that I’m coming back to everyday blogging on Monday 25th September. The first post will be about new music and I’m planning to keep blogging for two weeks everyday again… Have you missed me?!
So, see ya on Monday then!
Love, A.A.
