The Impressive Playlist/Losing The House – The Summer I Turned Pretty

Films and series are not only made of plots, acting and montage but music plays a very important role too. When the perfect song completes the scene – it also plays on our emotions… And this post is also about another thread called losing the house.

I’ve checked out the playlist of songs that make The Summer I Turned Pretty before I started watching the second season and I was shocked! 163 songs! Yes, from both seasons. And well, there are many popular songs and many songs by Taylor Swift. It was lovely to see how perfectly these songs fit this series and that’s what I think also needs to be underlined while talking about this title.

So, you can check out the playlist below and let me know how you feel about it.

Now it’s time to discuss next two episodes. As I’ve mentioned last week, the next thread that can be noticed is about selling the summer house. Some people may ask “why are they so worried about it like the world is ending?” and others can sympathize… Well, I believe that it feels differently when you lose home suddenly and when you just move out. In the first case it’s taken from you and the second one is a choice. And I think it’s this kind of situation that only people who been though the same can understand. I personally lost my previous home in a fire so I can quite understand how it feels to lose it…

So, this thread is a little bit dramatic but the emotional impact is also very important here. It can makes us wonder – what if I was in the same situation? Would I feel the same as those characters? Would I fight tough not to lose it too?

Well, that’s all that I can say today and I don’t have any idea what next two episodes may bring… I guess I need to find out and reach out next week to let you know what I found!

Until the next Wednesday then!

Love, Allysa Agnes
