I named this post this way because it simply perfectly refers what I’d like to talk about today – book clubs and crime procedures. I’d like to compare these two subjects presented in 10th episode and my own knowledge and experience.
The first topic is the book club. It reminds me conservatories – university type of course. Masters, doctors or professors were running such classes during the second degree studies and they were choosing books to read and subjects to discuss. All groups that I’d been a part of counted about 10 people and we were usually sitting around the table just like in the series. I’m just trying to say is that what is shown on the screen is so close to real life. I mean the life I know. The only difference is that the series is about a small town high school of 50s in USA and what I know is the modern days University of Warsaw.
The next thing to discuss is American crime procedures. I have no idea how it looked like in real life in 50s in USA and how it looks like nowadays but I can tell you how it looks like in Poland now. Police can ask people who used to know the dead man if they don’t know something that may help to close the case but they would be the ones who would check every clue. They wouldn’t ask anybody to ask others if you know what I mean. In Riverdale the teenager is asked for help in solving the mystery and it seems to be just a fiction to me. But I’m not sure entirely. I mean I know how it looks like in Poland but I don’t know American law too well… If you know more, I would be happy to hear about it! I mean feel free to comment!
Ok, so that’s all I needed to say today. The next post will be about the new YT season that is premiering on my channel tomorrow at 9 AM CET! Here’s the link:
Greetings!
