‘Riverdale’. Crime & Love

The first post after Easter is nothing else but the continuation of my reflection on Riverdale. I’ve loved this series from the very beginning, I won’t be hiding that it inspired my new book and most of all – it keeps to surprise. Today I’d like to say few words about crime and love then.

When we look at all seasons, it’s a very nice mixture of genres. But what is always there and never disappoints? Crime and suspense. This is definitely one of my favorite things about this show. I mean, you never know what to expect! And I know, sometimes it’s too much and I simply liked some seasons more and others less and it doesn’t change the fact that some things were simply unpredictable.

When you look at my both books – debut and the new novel – I’m sure you can see the way this series inspired me. I was a high school girl when this series appeared. I was graduating then and I’m glad such a show existed because it’s probably something that I needed.

I guess the mix of genres is my thing, it’s the sign of the times but also – maybe this series has been influencing me all along and that’s why the final shape of my books looks like that. It’s hard to say to me but it’s very possible.

Now few things about love. This series is based on comics, Archie can be seen there sometimes with Betty, sometimes with Veronica and creators of the show found a perfect way to make it possible. But also, all other characters are dating many different characters as well. It’s like it’s such a little community so no wonder that everybody knows everybody like that… But again, some romances are coming back in different shapes and times and that’s really cool. It’s like… Fate will always find a way. And while saying this, I keep Cheryl & Toni in mind.

My favorite couples? Well, Jug & Betty and Archie & Veronica. I’m not sorry.

Okay I’m done today. Tomorrow post will be about… New music! It’s gonna be a huge post full of news! It’s so exciting to me, I must say. Because I will receive so much material to listen to or watch + I will create a new type of post this time. Yay!

See ya tomorrow then!
