History In The Final of The ‘Carnival Row’

Today is the last post about Carnival Row and I thought to kinda come back to where I started. My first post was about political matters and now I’d like to talk about history. But it’s almost the same so such a fun framing device comes out of it!

In this series we could watch one war coming after another. Some things can remind us about The Great War and other about World War II. But I think the final also brings the similarity to the war between Poland and Bolshevik Russia in 1919-1921. The Battle of Warsaw stopped Bolsheviks going West to bring their idea and revolution to the world that had enough of war. That’s why this victory is a national holiday in Poland. And who knows, maybe the world would look differently now if Bolshevik Russia was unstoppable.

I’m talking about it because I feel like the history of this part of Europe inspired creators of Carnival Row. Am I right? I guess only they know the answer. I can only interpret facts…

Well, how does it end then? I guess as it started… Politically.

Tomorrow post will be about the new song Good Time by Sheppard. And yes there are few ideas in my mind for next posts so I will continue blogging everyday until Wednesday.

Greetings!
