When Love Hits You. ‘Arrow’ by Laura Marano

When love hits you, you may think it’s a good thing because you found love. But the truth is that Cupid is a stupid blind child who doesn’t know what is doing sometimes. You can suddenly fall in love with someone you’ve known for many years and you both know it’s just an animal lust that will be gone tomorrow. Or it’s just flirting. But you decide to play tonight and fool everybody around so they start to think that two of you are meant to be. And the funniest part now – you’ve already played these games before and you can’t resits from repeating it.

This is what new song Arrow by Laura Marano is about in my opinion. This song came out today and it’s Valentine’s Day. Have a nice holiday if you feel like celebrating but if not… Don’t worry. You can get drunk and sing Flowers by Miley Cyrus at the top of your lungs today and tomorrow. Who said you can’t be happy alone if you really want to? And if you truly believe that you’re all you really need so why can’t you just be happy about it?

Ok but you probably wonder who Laura Marano is? That’s an actress and singer. She’s an independent artist and that’s all you need to know.

Let’s go back to the song that I’m reviewing here now… Arrow is a pop song with a little rock twist. It’s catchy and the story it tells… I can’t recall anything like this. You can listen to this track below and let me know in comments how you like it.

Two previous releases from Laura are worth the mention too. The first song that I’ll discuss now is called Bad Time Good Time. It’s a fun song about living in the moment again. You meet someone at the party and you’re not used to casual dating. You don’t know what future brings because it’s a bad time to do such things but “let’s just have a fun time” you think in the end and you decide not to worry about anything.

This is a pop-rock song. I can hear the cool electric guitar in the background playing and such a chilly casual sound of pulling strings. I also love this cover. You can listen to it here:

The next song that is getting a separate paragraph (or two) is This Time Last Year. I fell in love with this song after the first listen of the snippet. Here we have the scene of the wedding. He’s preparing to it and you know you won’t be able to be with him there. You both thought that next year would bring your own wedding and it turns out that you broke up. And now all you have is memories and you can only hope that next year you will finally move on.

It’s a lovely pop-rock track but I can hear here more rock spirit than it previous two songs. Maybe that’s why it’s one of my favorite tracks of all time. You can check it out here:

So, that’s it. The tomorrow post will be about my latest walk by the river. I will add there almost all photos that I’ve taken…

Greetings

AA
