Hello! It’s time to write the first review. It’s all about music and traveling so it’s such the nicest possible 2in1…
Now let me say few things about the first show last year!
First of all, who 5SOS (in other words, 5 Seconds of Summer) is? It’s an Australian band, probably the most popular from there these days. They exist over ten years now and the band is made of four guys: Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin. I think their music can be mainly classified as pop punk and pop-rock. They recorded five albums:
- 5 Seconds Of Summer (2014)
- Sounds Good Feels Good (2015)
- Youngblood (2018)
- Calm (2020)
- 5SOS5 (2022)
Later you will also read the review of the latest record. If you can’t wait, you can watch my last year video about it here:
The video where I talk about this show is really short, I feel like I didn’t say anything particular there (I guess I was shy & nervous…) but I will be happy if you want to check it out anyway. You can watch it here:
And now I finally get to the point… 5SOS came to Poland for the first time in April 2022. I live in Warsaw, but I went to see the show because of pandemic. Yes, you see right. I had a ticket for Lover Fest (Taylor Swift was supposed to perform in Poland in 2020) but then the virus appeared. Tay had to cancel all her shows and we all had to change our plans. This awful time brought all the best and worst out of us. But the good thing was I got a voucher and half of it was exchanged for the ticket to Kraków. This way I had to spend two years getting to know this band and in the end – here I am, writing this blog post. Nothing was lost.
The day I arrived to Kraków was also the day of the show. But I also love sightseeing so… Unfortunately I felt tired in the evening. I don’t recommend to work too hard or travel in the day of the show, honestly!
The show was wonderful. Few of my favorite things are:
- Those blue lasers. It made the show feel amazing, original and special.
- Elegant clothes. Band members showed so much respect for fans this way.
- Those guys’ voices amaze me. I’m a girl but I had difficulties with singing. Those high notes are killer for my throat! What can be a better compliment than hearing that boys can sing higher than some girls?
- A lot of great songs from all their albums were played. What I always appreciate the most is being able to hear a song that isn’t officially out yet. You can find the playlist below:
Ok. The first post started getting quite long! I think it’s time to let you see the show (playlist with the show below) and well, see ya in two days! I will write about Harry Styles then… But shh… I didn’t say anything!
Greetings!
AA
